Year in Review | Celebrating Growth & Achievements at Southern Orthodontic Partners

2023 was a year of transformational growth and exciting platform wins! This was our biggest year yet, as we added 13 new practices in 8 states across the US. 3 of these states were new geographies for SOP – Kentucky, Indiana, and Mississippi. As we move into the New Year, the platform now includes 48 orthodontic practices with 85 locations across 13 states.

Throughout the year, our platform reached noteworthy milestones and celebrated outstanding achievements:

Outstanding New Doctors: 8 new doctors were onboarded to our current partner practices across the US. With these additions, our platform now includes over 80 doctors!

Growth of Our Central Team Support: As we have expanded, we strengthened our Central Team Support (CTS) to better serve our partners. In 2023, we added 25 new Team Members to our Nashville-based team.

Exceptional Platform Performance: SOP beat the industry throughout 2023. Our platform’s average Net Production Growth was consistently above the industry with an average spread of +13% (in YTD November).

2023 Leadership Summit – “From Good to Great”: Our Second Annual Leadership Summit took place in April 2023, with a theme centered around platform alignment. We hosted 51 SOP Doctors, 31 Practice Managers, and 40 Central Team Support Leaders for the two-day in person event that led to outstanding results of connectivity and new ideas.

New Marketing Strategies: Throughout 2023, we invested in our next stage of growth by exploring new avenues for marketing, including our new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and B2B programs.

Investing in Professional Development: Professional development was a focus of the year through our offering of scholarships to Team Members and the SOP Leadership Academy. The 2023 Cohort of  the Leadership Academy launched in March 2023, with 23 graduates in August 2023!

Creating People First Culture: Snappy, our new service recognition platform, launched at the start of the year. We used this tool to provide meaningful award options to celebrate our Team Members’ significant milestone anniversaries throughout the year!

Winning with Our Doctor & Team Programs: Our Central Team Support continued to provide programs for our doctors and teams to support engagement, professional development, and best practice sharing, including our in-person HR Boot Camp and quarterly virtual Doctor Study Club.
